So does anybody have any clear idea what geehot was trying to accomplish? I mean he obviously didn't want to leave the forum, begging to be allowed second and third chances. This suggests to me he was getting something out of this. Maybe my original suspicion (subsequently retracted) that he was trying to spread some kind of malware was correct after all...

Obviously it's not the malware, but the (probably little) money he gets from the file hoster. It's a common thing to put your files on those sites that pays you a bit per each download.

Nothing new on that...
