Example -- If I were to type "shoe store" into the search engine, it would pull up about 100 pages of results featuring any posts with the words "shoe" and/or "store". If I put "shoe store", it being just one word, in quotes, I wouldn't get any results back.

I'm wondering if the search engine could be modified to where you could:

-have the option of searching a certain forum(or forums)
-have to the option to be able to enter terms in quotes and get results
-have the option whether or not to search an entire thread or just posts

just to make things easier for us.

As for the technical aspects of this suggestion, I'll have to refer you to Nyllover.

For your example search, try shoe-store with a dash between words and see if that returns some more specific results.
