Laws must vary on what is a crime depending on where you live. When I was in college, women complained to security about men sitting on library floor and looking up their skirts and even crawling under the tables (they did not say specifically to smell feet but you can imagine that was part of it). Security told them nothing could be done about it as long the men were legally in the library (had ID card from any college in the city and surrounding area, including as alumni) and did not touch them or attempt to steal something.

The law definitely varies with time. I'm sure in your youth those guys weren't prosecuted because at the time there simply was no law yet on the books that could accommodate the situation. You can't just charge someone for something that *should* be illegal; if no one has ever thought of making a specific law against it , then you (i.e. the accuser) are shit out of luck. That said, I'm curious what specific crime this guy is being charged with.

I have to say if he thought "hiding" under a table would actually work, he is either incredibly stupid or knew he would get caught and said to himself with a shrug, "Eh, fuck it, it's worth it".

How could anybody not notice someone under a table?I am curious on how he could do it? I cant imagine anyone pulling that off unless they are invisible8Im guessing he saw who he liked and pretended to drop something and sniffed her feet from there?

Well since he was a re-feet offender and was on parole for previous crimes they are more likely to arrest than a first time offender

Sharing one of my experiences I used to watch a market research lady standing at the mall dip.I was there watching her 3 days a week. She finally noticed me and told a security guard I was watching her but there was nothing he could do "He said as long as he isn't touching or talking to you I cant do a thing.

I could start a new topic on if the laws about foot watching will be updated but I'll keep it here.Im sure they will get tougher in a few years once these headlines happen more often.

There was a story I read about a guy who touched a womans foot at WalMart and it made the news I was like what? There are so many drama queens out there who want attention. How many people have we bumped into in a crowd? Some nutjob can say well this person assaulted me.I have ran into womens butts breasts and privates by mistake but there are some out there who would call a cop just to get someone in trouble

College libraries here in the US can be very large and not very crowded other then at Finals time ...they are also more crowded durin the evening then during the day...based on when I was younger and used to be a voyuer because i fit in (now Im 45 and would stick out like a sore thumb) it was easy to get that close up to a foot if the opportunity presented itself.
But to your point some of these are huge ( The UMAss one was 24 floors)

It seems he is charged only with offenses connected with his resisting arrest and violating the sexual offender law, not specifically with his actions in sniffing feet.

Any of you guys ever logged on to Wu's?

It's full of guys that talk about stealing shoes and jerking off into them, stealing worn pantyhose and pleasuring themselves, fantasies of molesting a sleeping woman's feet, etc. Just makes me shake my head.

And you wonder why some people perceive foot fetishes as creepy.

I agree..the number of videos on YT of sleeping womens feet do nothing for me..Just another foot sub-fetish I have no interest in like tickling, pedal pumping, crushing , food etc

There's one tickling video I saw that I found hot - a staged scenario where a younger woman comes to visit her boyfriend, and has to wait with his mother. His mother feigns interest in her heels, then removes them and starts tickling her stockinged feet. It's not the tickling that I find so attractive as the writhing, wiggling hosed feet at the center of the video.

But yeah, the crushing/pedal-pumping/sleeping stuff does little for me, and it seems to be the focus of what passes for (at least free) foot-fetish content on YouTube.

It bugs me that the foot fetish is considered by far one of the creepiest/most unsettling fetishes when it's probably the most common. But when the usual portrayal in the media is like this clown, skulking around under desks looking for a sniff, no wonder it's frowned upon.

Paradigm, I could not have said it better myself. As far as fetishes goes, a man/woman with a foot fetish is pretty tame compared to the other "peculiar" fetishes out there.
