Llama on the mend

Post by llama »

I've been in the hospital since last Wednesday with a bad abscess on my ass and high diabetes. Should be alright eventually but and looking at a long stay for antibiotics IV drip three times a day for 6 more weeks. Keep me in your thoughts. Even solebug 😂

Yikes! Certainly sir. Hope that you get better soon. Too bad nurses don't dress in hose and heels anymore. Hopefully you have a cute one.

Jeez... I will keep you in my thoughts, I swear. Between a pair of nylon feet and another, of course. 😁

I'm at a nursing/rehab facility now for the next 6 weeks. I live by myself and wouldn't have able to give myself the medicine by myself

I didn't see this thread until now. I hope you are doing well.
While you're there, I think you might want to look into Intermittent Fasting, just research for now. It can help a lot with Diabetes.

Here is a playlist with my favorite Youtube personality, Dr. Eric Berg.

His main channel is also filled with all kinds of goodies for the mind to soak up.

Since you're at a hospital right now, you can probably talk to a physician about whether your body will be able to take it after you leave the rehab center.

Smooth healings for you.

Update- the antibiotics I am taking for the severe infection are still wrecking my stomach but luckily not as badly the last couple days. I am gradually setting in here. If anyone wants to follow my Twitter for more frequent updates my handle is @brienryder ( my old radio dj name 😂 ). I also have a cashapp to take any donations to help me with new clothes and medical supplies but is TOTALLY FINE if you don't donate. LI just have luck with it

I'm just now seeing this and I was wondering what everyone was talking about in that other thread! How ya holdin' up Llama? I know I'm late to this but I hope you're doing okay sir. Diabetes is a royal pain the ass. When I was first diagnosed a few years ago, I had a glucose level of over 600 — one specialist who I'd seen for a... "diabetic eye exam" I guess...at the time told me he'd had patients come in with it as high as 1000. Luckily I am in "remission" now (Type 2, caught onto it early enough) after losing a good significant amount of my initial body mass (though I've been falling off), but it's still scary stuff. Wishing you the best, good sir.

Dude, intermittent fasting has been a figurative and literal lifesaver for me (mixed with Keto, though I know some people are iffy about that) regarding weight loss. I can easily fit into shirts that I could barely fit in back in highschool 15 years ago.

I'm a massive proponent of Intermittent Fasting. I used to fast all the time back in elementary, middle and high school. When I got to university, I started gobbling up everything.

I'm coming back to my roots now, and am planning a crash water fast, lasting 3 days. I tried a couple of weeks ago, and my god the difficulty was extraordinary. But it gets fun the more you hit at it. Just don't lay around doing nothing.

I'm also swearing off added and refined sugars. It makes me a tad imbalanced, which can be evidenced by a lot of oddness in my past posts here and elsewhere. I look forward to having a slender physique again as well.

I think I will turn this into a health thread.
