What is the main reason some women wear slingbacks? My sister only owns slinbacks but I have never had the nerve to ask her why.

Because they can walk better in them. They don't move too much while they walk, so it's easier to walk in them... i know because my wife just bought a pair of them exactly for that reason

They don't "move" too much? Can't you elaborate? Seems like they would move around just as much if not more......?

I'm comparing them to sandals. And a pair of sandals leave the foot very very "free", so while she walks, she can't walk fast because of that.

I see...but would a woman consider sandals in place of dressy slingbacks? There are different types of sandals too; some are very strappy while others are very open and loose. You might ask your wife/gf why she would choose dressy slingbacks instead of say dressy closed heel and toe pumps; that is unless she doesn't wear the latter. Thanks
