So we've talked about women who shoeplay and know it, women who shoeplay and don't know it, women with nice feet who don't know it...
...What about women who show their feet and don't seem to care?
This past weekend I saw a photo on Facebook from a girl I know; she was at some kind of business networking event. It was a nice group photo, five women sitting in the front of a group of ten or twelve (some girls, some guys) on a grassy hillside. Nothing special about the photo, really...just a bunch of people in business-casual attire.
Except the girl I know. She was in the front row, messenger bag in her lap to cover her knee-length dress...and bare feet stretched out in the grass in front of her. A foot or two in the foreground of the photo, you could see her sandals, hastily kicked off and away.
It was just interesting to me because everyone else in the photo (at least, that you could see) was wearing shoes; she hadn't been caught off guard, she clearly kicked her shoes off before the photo.
I had met her years ago doing some volunteer work. She had the same habit then; the first time I noticed was at an all-day event. Since she was one of the event staff, she was wearing a dress with black tights and black-and-white houndstooth flats with little bows. I was trying to do lots of setup and organization work while she and the other paid staff could direct people. When we got to the second site for the day, I was standing there with a few other volunteers when she walked in. As we were talking, she nonchalantly stepped out of her flats and nudged them under a table near the entrance. She hadn't even taken her coat off yet! She then spent the rest of the setup period walking around the carpeted auditorium in stockinged feet.
The photo I saw reminded me of this tale, and got me to thinking. We always notice and share stories of the women who have sore feet and talk about it, or the women who don't realize their shoeplay drives us mad, or maybe the ones who do.
But what of the women who just don't like wearing shoes, and aren't afraid to go barefoot/stocking-footed, no matter where they are or what the occasion may be?

Now that I'm awake and reading my post, I guess I was a bit unclear.
I was more talking about the willingness to take the shoes off, no matter what the occasion. In this case, it was a girl who was in a reasonably-professional setting, kicking off her shoes for comfort when no one else in the group had done so - and being willing to appear on camera doing so!
I'm not a fan of women just going barefoot anywhere - this past fall a group of friends and I were walking to a concert, and one of the women in the group decided to carry her shoes and walk barefoot to the arena. That's a different story in my eyes. I prefer to think a lady's feet are clean enough to offer a massage :-)
