It boggles the mind to even think of it. I went to college in the US midwest in the 80's, at a large school with multiple libraries. A lot like what is being recorded in Europe today in terms of HUT, flat shoes, dipping & dangling, but also a lot of dresses, skirts & heels. Everywhere, all the time. At least I have my memories, a lot of younger American guys just have the internet.

Speaking of high school Spanish; one day in my class we were supposed to be reading in the book and the room was quiet. Our teacher was sitting on the edge of her desk with her feet off the floor. Suddenly there was that 'clop' sound of an empty shoe hitting the floor, followed by an embarrassed "Excuse me". She had to stretch out and point her toes (suntan RT hose, BTW) to reach the shoe, which made her skirt rise up. :) And yes, she was nice looking, mid-30's in great shape. Our finals were one on one with her, reciting phrases in Spanish. That day she wore blue and red slingbacks, and dangled the entire time during my turn. :shockedstar:

Malls. Malls were the place to be for everything in the late 70s early to mid-80s.

Jewelry stores were a guaranteed dipping show. And I know what you mean about Sears. I remember a couple of girls in two seperate stores, both in the appliance department, who would dip whenever I would walk by on the way to the TV/electronics section.

And let's not forget when they all went to have lunch at the food court.

Add to that some of my teachers and the hookers and bar girls in South Korea and I could have filled up a vault with candid material. Although with our shared interests I believe we all could have.

Oh, don't remind me of arcades. Purely non-fetish related stuff there. So many great memories of classic video games, and the atmosphere was so unique.

God I miss the 80s. :(

An invention i am truly anticipating is the ability to render dreams, memories, and daily sightings from your brain into an image or video to share on the internet. To do away with devices you'd have to carry and possibly get spotted with would be awesome. I work in the electronics section of my local Sears, technology fascinates me.

I wear glasses, so I'd be very interested in some sort of miniaturized setup that would allow me to record whatever is in my line of sight. A fake Bluetooth unit could be worn in one ear as a power source/memory card.

Also, what's your take on virutal reality technology over the next 5 to 10 years?

I would love to see that. The story you wrote about your experience in South Korea is one of my favorites!

I'm glad you enjoyed it Hiker. The year I spent over there was just one experience after the other. Nowhere else in the world has ever even come close the action in Seoul.
